We all got together for Dave's birthday last week, and here are a few pictures.

I have more pictures at home, but I really need to get a new post up here.
Today has been a good day at work--steady, but not too busy. I haven't been stuck in really long cases and my doctors have been behaving themselves. I really appreciate that. I should finish up my mandatory education (ugh!), but that would really put a damper on this nice day. I think the big difference is my attitude. I read my scriptures last night (it has been a while, I'll admit it!), and I am truly much happier. A friend of mine from work has been reading from the Book of Mormon and is encouraging others to do so. She reads 17 pages per day and is able to finish it in a month; I think she has read it through 6 times already this year. I have become such a slacker about my reading; I think the last time I read it all the way through (and not just chapters here and there) was in Fall 2005, when President Hinckley challenged us to read it by the end of the year. I have been feeling guilty about spending so much time reading my 'pleasure books' (I think I ready 4 last month alone) and not making time to read the Book of Mormon, so this is really good for me. I'm not really studying it; I'm just reading it like any other book, and hopefully that will get me back in the habit of reading every day.
For those of you who haven't read in a while either, I challenge you to read it in a month as well (Rachael--this doesn't apply to you, unless you are put on bedrest and n.b. decides to be late!). My goal is to be done by September 30th, although I just may finish it sooner. Indeed, we shall see.
By the way, I gave the neighbors a letter (along with the rent check) telling them that I'd rather not babysit for their kid anymore. I did leave it open and say that maybe we could arrange certain days . . . but I told them my concerns. You should be proud!
