I'm just trying to be happy

Today was a good day too.  I was pleasantly surprised to see that I had been assigned to an ortho room.  This is supposed to be my Neuro week of orientation, which is fine, but I am realizing that I am much happier doing ortho than any other specialty in the O.R.  It helps that I was with Dr. Klatt, who is just fabulous.  I hope they will put me on the team!

So life is okay for the moment.  I have had a few rough days lately . . . kind-of a roller-coaster, but more lows than highs.  I'm trying to get things under control; it's tough when you feel like your life is going nowhere.  I'm actually doing fairly well; there is a light at the end of the tunnel financially, but it's still a good way off.  I should be able to finish paying off my credit card debts in the next few months.  It has been really hard paying out so much money every month, especially now with gas getting to be so expensive and paying daycare and not making evening differential . . . things are really tight.  We'll get through it somehow.

I also found out that my friend Allison has been released as our Primary President.  She is pregnant with twins, so it's a good thing for her.  It just stinks for me.  We have been in this ward for only a year and a half, and I am now on my third Primary President.  Only two of the teachers have been in Primary longer than I have, which makes me feel OLD.  I don't like that feeling.

We went to Logan last weekend for Ella's birthday party.  It was a fun time, and Beck did a good job putting it all together.  I'm bummed I didn't get to see Iron Man 2, but c'est la vie.    I can't believe my Ella-Boo is 6!  She's getting so big!  Here are some of my favorite pics from last Saturday.

Here's the birthday girl.

This is Noah flying high on the swings.

My Lily-Bug.

We tried to get the grandchildren together for a decent picture together, but Mia was having a serious meltdown (girlfriend needs her naps!).  Chaston and Aneesa were there too.  Good times.

This was the best we could do; they are all there, but there weren't many smiles.  Oh well.

I totally hear you on the financial thing; I've been trying to pay my credit card off for 6 months now, and it will FINALLY be paid off this Friday. Keep trucking along, you'll get it done!!

I think it's great you're paying off your credit cards. It will be so worth it when it's over, even though it stinks paying them off.

I love the picture with the kids. It's adorable, especially since there's no way anyone could get all of the cute kiddies to look at the camera at the same time. that's what makes it so fun.

I see you are in neuro today. Hope you have fun. It seems like a fun team as well.
