So . . . apparently I'm working at Riverton now. Nobody really told me this personally; I heard it second-hand. I was talking with the Ortho team leader at PCMC, because I really do want to be on the Ortho team, but she said that she had talked to my educator, who said that I was going to Riverton. All right; if you say so.
I was out there today, and it was good. I really do like it there; I had a great team today, there was good music on Pandora, and although I'm not particularly fond of ENT, it's not difficult or stressful. That's good for me.
The thing is, I said I would go to 5 days/week (working 7-3pm, or rather 6:30-whenever I leave) because Allen said that he would be able to work evenings (daycare is sucking us dry!). Unfortunately, the company he works for is totally flaky and decided they wouldn't start the 24-hour schedule yet. I seriously suggested he start delivering pizzas. He's thinking about it, and he's looking for another job. He's not sure what's happening with the top-secret clearance he has applied for, so we are stuck for the moment. Grr.
In other news, I got a new camera. No, I can't afford it, but it is nice. I got a Nikon D5000, and I love it. This is one of the better pictures I have taken. I love Benji's sweet little face in this pic. I also love the clarity and versatility of the DSLR. I'm still getting used to it, and I'm having problems downloading some of my pictures, but we'll figure it out. Here's a slideshow of some pics I took over Memorial Day weekend (with the new camera). Ne vous inquietez pas--they will get better with time and experience.

I'm glad you love your new camera. :)
Good luck with the daycare thing. That's one of the main reasons I don't work right now... I'm poor, but, I'd be poor if I worked too... Have you tried to find someone in your neighborhood/ward to do it? I've watched a couple kids in my ward over the past school year, and the extra cash was great for me, plus it was cheaper than daycare for the moms... I guess the hardest part is finding someone who is not flaky.
Oh I wish I lived closer to help you guys out. Your camera is VERY nice. The pics are fabulous!
Good quality pictures! You can tell its a fancy camera!
Great pictures! I am glad about Riverton, if you are. Now you will miss PCH. that is just the way life is.
I'm so jealous that you got a new camera. We are in desperate need of one and I would love to get a really nice one so that I can take good pics of Addy and our kiddos to come.
So glad Riverton worked out for you. The whole 5 days a week thing kind of stinks, but it means a lot to like where you work. Good luck with the hubby's situation. I'm sure things will work out for you. See you bright and early, if I'm not sick still!
Your little boy is darling and getting so big! Yay for a new camera, I still need to learn how to use mine...well someday I will. Your shots look great! Good luck at Riverton, hopefully it will be a great thing for you.
